Degree Requirements
Cosmetology Program Academic Progress Requirement
Students enrolled in cosmetology programs must earn a minimum grade of C (70%) in all COS (cosmetology) courses. A grade below C will not satisfy program requirements and the course must be repeated before the student may graduate.
Successful completion of the cosmetology curriculum is required to meet North Carolina requirements for eligibility to apply for the State Board licensing examination. Students must also satisfy all other graduation and licensing requirements established by the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners and applicable North Carolina law.
